FAQ

Quick answers about journal.

What can I record for each trade?

The account, symbol, direction (long or short), entry and exit times and prices, size, stop loss and take profit, fees and swap, the strategy you used, tags such as setup or mistake, your notes, and screenshots of the chart before and after. Only the basics are required; the rest makes your analytics more useful.

How is the R-multiple calculated?

R is the net result of a trade divided by the money you risked at entry. When you set a stop loss, the risk is calculated from the entry, the stop and the size. A trade that made twice what it risked is +2R, and a full stop-out is −1R.

Can I log a trade that is still open?

Yes. Save it as open and add the exit later. Open trades are not counted in your statistics until they are closed.

Is there a limit on the number of trades?

The Free plan includes 30 trades a month. Pro and Elite have no trade limit.

Which image formats can I upload?

JPG, PNG and WEBP up to 3 MB per image. The number of screenshots per trade depends on your plan: 1 on Free, 4 on Pro and 8 on Elite.

How should I use tags?

Keep a short, consistent list: setups (breakout, pullback), conditions (news, trend day) and mistakes (moved stop, early exit). Analytics can then show you which tags make or cost you money.

Can I import trades from MT4 or MT5?

Yes, on Pro and Elite. Upload a “Detailed statement” from MT4 or a “Report” from MT5 (saved as HTML), or any CSV file. You check the column mapping and preview the first trades before anything is saved.

Which CSV files work?

Most exports from brokers, platforms and spreadsheets. The separator and encoding are detected automatically, the columns are matched by name, and you can change the mapping before you confirm. Files can be up to 5 MB.

What happens if I import the same statement twice?

Trades that are already in the account (same account and ticket number) are skipped, so you will not get duplicates. The summary tells you how many trades were imported, skipped or had errors.

Why are my imported trade times off by a few hours?

Statements use the broker’s server time. Choose the right time zone in the import step and the times are converted to your own time zone.

What do Pro and Elite add to the journal?

No monthly trade limit, more screenshots per trade (4 on Pro, 8 on Elite) and statement import from MT4, MT5 or CSV.
