Calculators for every trade
Position size, pip value, risk to reward, margin, compounding and drawdown recovery, with your balance filled in.
See what one pip or point is worth in your account currency for any lot size, on forex pairs, gold, silver, indices, crypto and oil.
Pip value (quote currency) = contract size × pip size × lots Pip value (account currency) = pip value (quote) × conversion rate
On EURUSD one standard lot is 100,000 euros and a pip is 0.0001, so one pip is worth 100,000 × 0.0001 = $10. On USDJPY at 150.00 one pip is ¥1,000, which is $6.67 for a USD account.
A standard lot is 1.00 (100,000 units in forex), a mini lot is 0.10 and a micro lot is 0.01. Pip value scales in the same proportion.
Not always. Many platforms show five decimals on forex, where the last digit is a tenth of a pip (a point). This calculator uses full pips for forex and the pip size shown for other instruments.
It stays the same when the quote currency equals your account currency. Otherwise it changes with the exchange rate used for the conversion.
USDJPY is quoted in yen, so one pip is worth 1,000 yen per standard lot. Converted to dollars at the current price, that is about $6 to $7, and it changes as the price moves.
Yes. Position size is your risk amount divided by the stop loss distance times the pip value. The position size calculator does both steps for you.
In JammalFX each trade in your journal shows its result in pips and money, your analytics break it down by symbol and session, and the calculators sit one click away in the app.
